Eric's poster for Spatial Affairs Bureau was recently recognized by the 60th Annual Type Directors Club Competition. TDC is one of the most prestigious international design competitions. The winners will be included in the Annual of the Type Directors Club, Typography 35, and will be shown in seven exhibitions touring cities in the United States, Canada, France, England, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Spain, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam.
Two posters by Karnes Poster Company were recently awarded Silver by Graphis Poster, one of the most respected international poster competitions. The selected posters were for Spatial Affairs Bureau and Polosko Custom Woodworks.
Two posters by Karnes Poster Company were recently awarded Gold by Graphis Poster, one of the most respected international poster competitions. The selected posters were for Tree Scout, a broker of rare trees and Yeager Design + Fabrication, an architectural metalworking studio.
In April, the School of Visual Arts at Virginia Tech held an exhibition of recent posters by Eric Karnes. In addition to the exhibition, Eric was the Spring lecturer for the Graphic Design department, speaking about his background, methods and processes, and conducting a number of guest critiques in both their senior studio and professional practice classes.
Eric Karnes was recently published in the 2012 Communication Arts Design Annual. The featured piece was a promotional poster for Tree Scout, a broker of rare trees for architects, developers, and homeowners.
